5 Mistakes everyone makes when writing for the Web

If you are a seasoned blogger or online content writer, this post may be a little basic for you. For others just learning how to maximize their writing on the internet, however, this post is a solid education in what NOT to do.

There are many great writers creating content on the Internet, but even the best writers can falter when it comes to sharing their work online. No matter how talented a writer may be, or how thoroughly they've researched their topic, a seasoned writer can still make rookie mistakes. If you want to write compelling viral content or fascinating articles for consumption online, these are the most common mistakes that you need to avoid.

1. LONG PARAGRAPHS
Most of us were taught in school that a paragraph should be at least 5 sentence long. But sometimes, when writing online content, even a meager 5-sentence paragraph can be a chore to slog through.

Consider the width of a column for a blog template. Chances are that your word processor is far wider than the blog where you content is going to be hosted, so plan your paragraphs accordingly. The eye of the average reader online tires easily, so provide paragraph breaks every 2-6 sentences, especially when writing for an entertainment/humor site.

2. FORGETTING TO CHECK YOUR SOURCES
Let's thing about elementary school again. You probably learned that George Washington chopped down a cherry tree, that Columbus proved the earth was round, and that Ben Franklin discovered electricity in a thunderstorm. And in all three cases, those stories are wrong. Just goes to show you that even when you thing you know what you're talking about, you probably don't.

Check any factual assertion that you make, whether it's a statistic, a date, or just a piece of "common knowledge". Oh, and while you're fact-checking, don't forget to actually CITE those sources when you go to write your piece.

3. TOSSING OUT THE FUNK AND WAGNALLS
Yes, it's a brave new world for writers and publishers. The Internet is constantly changing the way we write, publish, and access content, and the way people communicate on the internet is contributing to the evolution of our language.

4. STARTING A FLAME WAR
No one ever does it on purpose (well, okay, some people do, but mostly just trolls), but starting a flame war is easier than you might think. Someone has something negative to say about your writing, you respond, and all of a sudden things get out of hand.

9 times out of 10, you'll be creating content that will be hosted on a site that supports comments. While responding to those comments is important for creating a community, respond to them with civility. Don't get dragged down to the level of negative commenters, and make sure to use a spam-blocker if you are hosting the content on your own site.

5. MISSING GREAT OPPORTUNITIES
When you write content online, you should make sure to do a couple of VERY basic things to ensure the success of the piece, and also to ensure your future success. Don't miss opportunities to link your other pieces, as well as other related articles on the same blog. And of course, you should always provide some form of contact information, such as a link to your website.

You should also offer easy ways to share your content, either through a Twitter widget or a Facebook Like button. And every post/article should end a concluding note, and feature a call to action for your readers. You  know, sort of like this:

CONCLUSION
Again, this is just an ultra-basic list of the most common mistakes people make when writing for the web. it's by no means comprehensive, but it does cover some of the most basic problems. But what about you?
What's your biggest pet peeve about writing online? Tell us in the comments below!

6 BASIC QUESTIONS FOR SOCIAL-OPTIMIZING YOUR COMPANY WEBSITE

When incorporating social media into a marketing strategy, most companies focus on Facebook and Twitter. Those who hire social media strategists also venture into niche platforms and new technologies, racing to stay ahead of the competition.

Yet what is often forgotten is that social media does not necessarily entail a dedicated platform – it is just a plural term for any online vehicle that allows for, and encourages, interaction. Hence, one of the most important steps in making your brand social is incorporating social elements into your company website.
Here are the top 6 questions to ask in determining if your website welcomes interaction.

This may seem obvious but is more than often overlooked. Sure, readers can always copy a URL they find interesting and manually paste it into an e-mail to share with friends, or into Facebook to share with their network… but they more often than not WON’T. The rule of thumb is, and will always be: your community is lazy, no matter how much they love you. Use ShareThis to facilitate and encourage sharing by making (at least the most basic) buttons available by any post, photo or item on there. But don’t make EVERY button on the face of the internet available – your readers are too lazy to look through them and easily confused.

But remember – just because you put a button there doesn’t mean people will click. Shareable content needs to be unusual, interesting, humorous or controversial. Keep this in mind when planning content and layout.

2) Can readers affect the content of your website?

Of course your professional website isn’t a wiki – open for endless edits by well-humored kids located in some non-English speaking country. Yet readers like feeling as though you’re listening enough to incorporate some of their thoughts and opinions. If you publish written content, perhaps offer the possibility of suggesting topics. If you publish visual content, give your readers the ability to submit their own for photos and video for display in a designated UGC (user generated content) area of your site. If you sell products, consider letting users vote on what models and colors they’d like to see made available for purchase or suggest changes to existing items.

3) Can your audience submit public comments or reviews?

Sure, your own description of your product may be accurate and what you sell or write may actually be life-changing. But readers want to hear that from other readers. Comments and reviews make your site look honest, transparent, and not afraid of public opinion. Of course, as with any other social media platform, monitoring is necessary to ensure that comments and reviews are appropriate, non-offensive and properly responded to if necessary.

4) Is your content dynamic?

Static websites are the equivalent of stores that never change their collections (I don’t know of any in real life, other than antique stores). Keeping your content new and fresh will encourage your readers to visit on a regular basis – to read new articles, check out new products or admire new images. Readers will most often share content from websites they are familiar with as a credible source of information – they don’t want to look foolish. Moreover, new content means new things to share… and more visitors entails more members for your new thriving community!

5) Does your homepage offer a relevant social experience?

When a reader is perusing your content… is he/she hanging out alone or with others? In other words, are there indications that other people are there too at that particular time or that their friends have been there before? Facebook Connect offers an easy solution to bringing people’s networks into your site without altering content and letting your readers find out what articles or products their friends have personally endorsed. Making buzz public (such as number of current visitors or total pageviews) and adding chat plug-ins are also easy, effective upgrades.

If you’re a retailer, check out my other article about social shopping for an in-depth overlook of possibilities.

6) Is your site optimized for mobile platforms?

It’s no news – people are constantly browsing the web and looking for relevant information on -the-go. Browsing the web on your computer is so last year! Whether they own a Blackberry, iPhone or iPad, your audience will want to check up on sales when they’re close to stores, see if you sell something they need, or want to reference your content when it’s most relevant to them geographically. Make sure to create a mobile version of your website or ensure that your existing website functions properly on multiple mobile devices. Additionally, consider creating a relevant branded application and maintaining up-to-date onFacebook’s Open Graph mobile features.

7 SHOTS OF WISDOM IN ONLINE MARKETING

I know there are a lot of experts around the web discussing helpful tips and how to's about internet or online marketing. I am a no expert either about the total package of e-business because for one, i am not into that kind of business, or maybe soon, but i am just an article writer.

As an article writer, it is mandatory to write for clients -- make the company afloat, write good and positive feedbacks of the services or products, giving full and partial reviews of certain kinds, articles with specific given topics and so on. To us, writing articles is more than a SEO: FARM IT, RANK IT, EARN IT.  Writing articles is like searching for nowhere. Because you don't know if your readers will buy it at a no cost. I always consider readers as the most and basic common denominator to create and achieve Top Ranks and unique visitors.  Without the substantial informations, ranks will up to no good. Thus, some people still believe in the concept of  "spam and collect", then what? after the click, will it still be the same tomorrow? Don't you think?

I wish i am in an Corporate world of SEO services and receive compensations from all the advertisement. Or an e-ntrepreneur and earning profit for a living or lets just say for "extra income", considering the fact some people are now vocal about having a job over the internet or formally IT. But i only have mind and fingers to deliver my speech in an article. To give bits and pieces to write some of the basics yet essential factors to develop Online Marketing that is ignored by many people in the E-Market Industry.

Hence, everything is not perfect. You might think that everything you need to know about Online business or Marketing is all in your hands. You feel that whatever you do is in the mighty process to boost the rankings.

Internet is a fast paced business industry and every second counts, in every second there are new inventions and creations uploaded. And i'd like to share some thoughts about the 7 Shots of Wisdom in Online Marketing. This is not also for people having e-business but also International Trades, that is competing against online or e-companies.

7 SHOTS OF WISDOM IN INTERNET MARKETING

MARKET AREA

Have you consider working with Asians? Or at least thought of having a client from Asia? If not, you are already missing half of your business income.

ASIA is the largest continent of the world. Countries belonging in this area are developing, though some are developed, still majority in the continent most especially in Information Technology outsourcing Internet industry has to develop. There are a lot of companies in Asia that are needing of exposure in web and needs massive advertising, and i presume your company has the capacity and capability to help these companies. Right? The South-East Asia region is one good example. Why keep on competing with big players in your geographical area where, survival and break-even is present in your company, when in fact you can take the lead of your new and fresh ideas if you will change your marketing area. Perhaps you're asking why Asia?

Because Asia is now and is the new investment hub of the world, pardon to those visitors living in America, Europe and other parts of the world. The news are all over the internet, books and other print media. In fact, it has been said that CHINA is favored to be next to America.

Choose your target market area. Choose it wisely. You should not consider a Culture between two different countries as a hindrance but a motivation to drive for excellence. One client from each of Asian countries will be doubled if you will persevere to learn other culture.  More and large companies invest in Asian region and if you will survive promoting your SEO Services, Web development services, Online Advertisement, and other Online business. Actually, aside from ASIA, Africa is also booming in internet industry and in need of exposure to different sector and array of Information Technology.

LANGUAGE BARRIER - OFFER TRANSLATIONS

English is practically and genuinely a universal language. In fact, there are a lot of websites using different language which may be translated to English in a few seconds or and to any phraseology of language you may wish to use. But, technology is not born to be perfect after all. Technically, the translations, i.e., google translation app, are not accurate if you may notice. This may cause confusions and chaos adaptation of the message by its readers. Thus, leaving your site unnoticed after.

How are you going to market if you have limited audience? Perfect english all the time? Don't you want to be heard by other foreign potential buyers and clients? If i were to be ask, is it advisable to offer and hire translators than article writers? -- Answer is YES! Definitely. Because articles will always be articles. Time and time again, articles can be amended, modify and be duplicated. But you can't neglect inquiries from different client/s.

Next to English is Chinese Language, with its 70% population of world, used in the different countries in Asia. Don't you think, it is more than you expected if you can reach to at least 30% of these people? Understand that Chinese, Koreans, Japanese, are some of the countries 100% native linguistics. Arabic, Latin, Spanish, are being used to different countries as well. Can you just imagine if you could get at least 1 chinese proficient translator from english to chinese and vice versa, you might get at least 20% - 30% of internet market share.

Learning is a process. and learning different culture and language will get you to different places, beautiful places and beautiful people. And if you really want to be marketable, and if you are serious of Online Marketing, make sure you are equipped with this aspect, otherwise if you are aware of free trades among ASIAN and G countries, you are on the right track.

Offer multiple language in human and manually translated scripts available for your visitors. Expand your available language resources -- be heard.. The reason why there are also limited flow of cyber network force is because of language barrier.

COMMUNITY

Link building, comment spamming (or not), social networking sites, and other forms of attracting new unique visitors. What else do you get here? aside from visitors? Do they stay and maintain readership in your blog after an everyday routine of spam? It doesn't matter. Why? because people are smarter now. It is frankly obvious you are just spamming off your site to increase page ranks, out of their witty minds? logically, they will not click your link because they will not help you in an easy process. In  their mind, "no way", "virus", "scam" and a lot more.

You can't survive through spamming. You don't even understand yourself too of the concept why you spam aside from sharing your link alone. How come you forgot to read their concerns? Community is everything classic - thats honest. But community sites, has the LARGEST Netizens (internet citizens) you could ever imagine.

Community and Forum are still and has the largest and widest of visitors, and only if you could manipulate the formula, that's a lot! However, spamming is still not the answer.

Google search are kinda old school now. The trend is youth (students), gamers, web developers are now using Youtube and other video-sharing sites to look and search for their related matters. Target youtube to promote your website and services, incorporate them in your website for video teasers of your products and services.

BE PRESENTABLE

;You can't be a constantly and permanently boosting your company's profile, services, mission and vision and most of all, market online in words. You can't simply be like that for what, hundred years? You have to offer more creative concepts and ideas where you can deliver your services at the same time see your samples and sound convincing to the world. How's that for an idea?  Sounds appealing?

Offer more fun and exciting ways to your future clients and clients. Let them know you are creative, that you have studied strategically i.e, point system for them. Instead of never ending boast through words, have it in a simple-fun-alluring videos. Instead of banners, use poster-like 3D graphics situated in your webpage. Use book covers or boxes type/style designs for presentation.

Presenting your portfolio and website will reflect your personality and how you value your clients. I know it doesn't matter to some but it always define how far can we go to excel in the battlefield, to apply new learnings, and to execute timeless innovations offers in the internet.

OFFER FREEBIES

OK, so let's face it. Truth is, people will always after for freebies after a doze of paid ups and benefits both seller and buyer. Giving charities and offering freebies makes no difference but love; I am not saying you do this all the time, but a little sharing is fun to do. Try to be considerate at times but not all the time. Once, is good, twice is more, but it depends on the relationship.

OFFER TUTORIALS

I can't advice this to some SEO Companies because of their services, unless you have a better way and idea how are you going to merge tutorials in SEO point blank, however, your willingness to link some of your favorite sites or articles and publish it to your site is a remarkable attitude.

Tutorial videos/article works might too help boost rankings because you are educating your visitors and they will not leave your site without taking time to be part of the activity. More informations, more readers, and more chances to farm link gossip or building.

OFFER OTHER SERVICES AND OUTSIDE THE BOX

If you think you are not earning rankings more than you expected in your e-business, consider other recreational things to boost your rankings. Offer exchange links to your virtual business partners for free if you can't sustain your rankings. Join blog rings, or web rings, a community blog and website owners of specific and different sectors in the internet, to gain popularity and associated sites for more link building.

For starters in blogging business, if you think you're content is too plain and do not share substantial informations or market, conclude and participate to other networks to gain experience, understand the rules and ethics of online marketing industry.

Offer Research and Development services if you are not successful in SEO and other services. Research and Development is incorporated in some SEO packages, but instead, have your clients other options and array of services to choose from that are might be negotiable.

Aside from SEO services and rankings, Advertising/PR/Promotional is now a service by certain e-companies. For which they are spreading the banners, logos and company video teasers to different websites.

Just be more creative and if necessary, bargain your price.

We Love Icons.

Everybody loves icons. Weloveicons

In fact, ICON is now a big contributory in graphics and web developing industry. Back in the days, when we say ICON, the initial quo-notation is "small picture/graphic", "desktop icon" and or so and an Icon was just a representation.

As the evolution of graphics, designs, pictures, grew to e-commerce, ICONS became more than a 64x64 or 32x32 pixel size of an image. If you may notice, Icons are now more popular in terms "customization of graphics" widely available BEST OF FREE: A Master List of great icons recognized everywhere. It may not matter to some, but students and young e-entrepreneurs buy of websites with icons and logos appealing to them, tendency is, habitual visits in your sites.

Not only icons for small images but ICONS in sets are also available in 256 pixels and 512 pixels in PNG, other than FAVICONS and ICO formats. Aside from transparent icons, there is also DOCK ICONS, more suitable for desktop, or OS Icons.

DeviantArt has the wide variety of graphic artist and their works are FREE for personal use. Acknowledging their masterpieces will not harm you after all. Credit is somehow a plaque of our appreciation for their tireless inspirations and a well-deserved praises for their effort.

I honestly and love downloading icons at Weloveicons.
A one-stop-shop for all graphicionado. They gathered and uploaded one of the best designed icons and logos for free. Your downloaded icons may be converted into your desired format if it is not supported by your OS or other programs. Links provided made available from the original artist and thats really a humbling task. Artist to be acknowledged for their work is such a rewarding feeling, especially in the cyber world where everyone claims the other.

What captured me is the ARCHIGRAPHS. Their works are truly exceptional. The image is surreal, and elegant. You could actually taste devotion, blood and effort in every detailed cinematographic artwork. I've used some of their works in projects and to a few, here. What is good about Archigraphs.com is they made sure they can be downloaded in MAC or in WINdows and in PNG, Just like Weloveicons.

SEO: FARM IT, RANK IT, EARN IT.

Its been quite a while since my last post, and sorry for so much delay. Today is a little different with what i am about to post. No graphic inserted, no websites to review, neither games or gadgets to share to you. I've been asked in a Direct message through Twitter, is there a possible way to post regarding SEO. I am already finishing my article for strategy on ways to boost your readerships and market area, and i promise to post it here, anytime soon. Thank you for that wonderful message.

My "future" boss, from *United States, well.. at least, haha, tasked me to write a test article about SEO. And below is the article.

------------------------------------------------------------
Farm to Market

How well do you know and understand Search Engine Optimization?

It all grown to me that SEO is just about keywords and high rankings, literally. That SEO is or also for Knowledge Process Outsource which in reality is somehow being neglected. But I will not incorporate my article in definitive form of SEO, rather what else to educate and share of my little knowledge. Furthermore, a glimpse of information needed to enhance SEO practices is somehow seen lacking.

When people gossip about your company, it may be a positive or negative, it is like a chain reaction. Readers will come to you no matter how just to get that story – everything will follow

Search Engine Optimization is like practicing what you preach. How can someone believe in you when they cannot trace your values? SEO is not just about keywords and aiming high rankings to get into the index page. I understand that link building is completely important, but SEO, for me, is readership.  Don’t you think?

Educating your readers is one way to gain power. When you want power, you to be heard. Grasp the hunger to deliver information in a very utmost way.  You have to starve your readers by your information.

Social Media is a big help for getting readers. Links are literally important because that’s where and how you save the life of people needing your expertise. Hence, let us get into the classic – word of mouth. People like gossip. Social Media is gossip and whether we like it or not, it is everywhere. When people gossip about your company, it may be a positive or negative, it is like a chain reaction. Readers will come to you no matter how just to get that story – everything will follow. Clearly enough that is farming link building.

Expertise is not new to everyone; in fact it is a criterion. Educating your readers is one way to gain power. When you want power, you *have to be heard. Grasp the hunger to deliver information in a very utmost way.  You have to starve your readers by your information. Readers will not come simultaneously if you will not tell them what you are capable doing of. It must be shown directly. The moment they saw your website or services. SEO is to strategized, not formulate.

SEO is like politics, if you want to get on top, you have to give them a reason why they should buy you. SEO services is like politics either, you have to sell yourself to those companies – a public servant.

Honestly, SEO is like politics, if you want to get on top, you have to give them a reason why they should buy you. SEO services is like politics either, you have to sell yourself to those companies – a public servant. Politics relates more interconnection and trust. If you want people to trust you, you have to be honest. There is no greater barrier in every Marketing and Trades than dishonesty. You can’t market yourself better if you can’t sing better. Gimmick is not the answer.

Learning these things is essential if you want to deliver the best for yourself and clients. Why? Because being heard in what is visible to the eye is far more efficient and trusting for people seeking answers – Is the company credible?  What will I benefit if then?

To farm is to invest. To gossip is to interconnect with people or readers

To farm is to invest. To gossip is to interconnect with people or readers.  Your product corresponds to your capability to expound your creativity when cultivating research.  To educate yourself with more tools and associate it with another is, I believe will make you harvest more in the future. Who knows, it might come to you the next day. Second is Trust. Maybe you’re questioning this. What does Trust has to do with SEO? Credibility is a liability, and to pay for that liability, you have to build trust to gain people and power. That power is to get on top of the rank and say – I deserve this.

Best Twitter Application - TweetDeck

Been having a hard time updating different and tons of twitter account for one message? Twitter is not new to us. Celebs, Politicians, business wo/man, even students at young age been using it. For those who don't know, it is a blog with limited number of characters allowed, maximum to 200 characters. Micro blog indeed.

But nowadays, Twitter is not just for simply broadcasting thoughts, but the fastest way to deliver news on air.

I've been using Tweetdeck, though it didn't sustained due to technical problems arose with my gadgets, it is indeed topnotch freeware guaranteed and function is truly exceptional. Sure there are "a lot" of freewares dealing with Twitter, but none of them find the best solution to level with Tweetdeck.

Not only it has multiple columns (for mentions, friends updates, hash tags), where you can monitor and allow you to search people without leaving your current page, you can also monitor people who have been mentioning you in their tweets, again without leaving your current page. You may also add a column of Hash tag topics in case you dont want to miss anything, i.e., Angelina Jolie's #tombrider

What i like about Tweetdeck is you're not only allowed to use multiple twitter accounts but as well as other social network applications. You may turn them off if you don't want to update i.e., your facebook, or leave it ON to update simultaneously. You can view Videos from Youtube as well directly to your Tweetdeck App in a tweet.

Battle of the Web Browsers

Few months ago i promised that i will be doing a conducive web browsers review and give details to what is at its best. I've been looking for graphics that will help me deliver this review and find accurate information  to start with.

This research CHART was conducted by Jacob Gube of Six Revisions in 2009. Today, it may not be 1OO% accurate but will serves as gathered data presentation. I think, until today, this is relevant.

CREDIT FOR ICONS: FINDICONS

Google chrome. Even though i am using this browser, i hate to say this but CHROME EXTENSIONS or simply add-ons, whatever you may call it are full of viruses. Yes! how could this be? better yet use Free Online Virus and Malware Scan via VIRUSTOTAL and see for yourself.
Other than that, the performance is perfect only for desktop/laptop. I can't even maximize using this application in mobile and tablet devices.

I highly suggest Opera for people who have down time in internet connection like Dial-ups or Wireless broadband connections with low speed. The Automatic and Turbo add-on is one the plus of this browser. It easily detects if you have a slow connection compare to your normal internet speed.

Here is another great deal, Opera browser has gone better. You can upload and share your photos without going to different sites, the add-ons and widgets are virus free with more professional applications and easy to use.

Safari web browser. Nothing beats Mac in terms of Applications and master of the touch illusions. What i just like about Safari is the Bookmark, Topsites and For reads tabs. If you're into touchscreens, the feel touch of grid view is fantastic. Aside from its animation, i believe this browser is advantageous to read and surf people. Hence an e-book experience, logically.

I don't honestly love Mozilla Firefox aside from Opera and Chrome. I hate the fact that 60% of internet users using this browser. I don't know what is wrong with that, but i just can't simply enjoy it. Maybe because i had bad experience using Firefox. It was extremely faster than i thought, i had sites open and 5 tab pages, those tabs open were only were searched from rare to find articles. Although "history" is an option, but the "crashing" is intolerable. I have to close the browser and forced to restore. It continued for several months and until now, i am having problems with firefox from time to time.

What would you do and what would you think if you received such message like this?

I've been receiving this kind of message over and over again via Spam emails/messages and it is killing me in annoyance. Why? because these people never stop until they get your response. These people are so low in terms of "SCAM". I don't know where did they get this kinda of cheap propaganda but to the makers of this email, this is really such a crap. If i were you guys, think of something that is believable and kinda, REAL? :P haha.

And in case you guys received any kind of scams, and beware of  your personal "bank accounts", don't ever believe websites linking to an IP Address.

example:
You have a legitimate bank account in "CHIIE BANK" and you happened to also activate your Mobile and Internet Banking transactions. Of course you are using your OWN PC or Laptop and no one gets your personal informations. But let me inform you that beware of Wi-Fi Connections because some hackers are known to this and might HACK, yes simply HACK your informations, including your bad "spooky" habits around the net.

So, anyway, since you are secured with the notation of your personal belongings, you received an email stating you received freebies given by your bank and you are requiring to sign or log in with a given link of : http://200.199.199.0.chiiebank.com, deceived you are, with of course with the SAME images of Website in your bank. Exactly the same. Please, DO NOT CLICK the link.

If you happened to received that kind of notice, better VERIFY it in your bank, call a CSR or check the legitimate website address of your bank and see notices or announcement saying they are giving freebies or anything regarding the matter of your concern, then Confirm.

A simple advice for each of us, including myself, SPAM emails are just spam emails and SHOULD NOT be given a reply unless you are aware of the recipient, otherwise, ignore further notices and messages, specially if it includes personal matters or business deals.

Some people new in the cyber world is not familiar with and may claim due notices. They might think how did it get into their emails without registering anything within claims. Well, think no more. If you haven't done anything before the propaganda sent to you, leave it unattended. Otherwise you'll be a victim.

PLAYDOM GAMES

PLAYDOM

Are you familiar with the name above? If you play virtual games via FACEBOOK, i am sure you do. Or if you're living in western, you're playing via MYSPACE. There's a joke about it, "fuck Facebook" says Singer-Comedienne in the movie FUNNY PEOPLE starring Adam Sandler. So either way, it doubles the fun.

If you are not into virtual games, you should at least try one, whatever that caters your interest or hobby.  Playing games may boost (in a positive manner) and relieve your stress, it will make you happy, and boost your energy (well, perhaps upon enjoyment).

Personally, i like and play SORORITY LIFE via PLAYDOM.  The game is click and play. Sounds boring but the excitement comes with the items, trendy clothes, fashionable accessories and you can apply those images in real world fashion. the concept is fashion and gather women to have fun.

SOCIAL CITY is not just for ordinary people who wants to have fun. But it is also for people who dreams to have a business hub or a well developed techno hub. I tried it already and its a virtual and role playing game. If you are into "business", like architectural firms for buildings or in developing a residential site, or just anything that has to deal with construction, expansion, remodeling,  a site or ground, better try this game. might as well help the idea of developing an accommodated region.

Actually, there are a lot of games available in Facebook applications and in Myspace, either will do. But i like more better Playdom games. The games are well planned and not just for profiteering and benefit the company, but the question of "why do i need to play this game?" is answered already -- you will benefit and learn from our developed application.

Just like their new game called, MARKET STREET. Why?, because you can relate yourself in the game. Strategically, the advance criterion of your taste co-relating it to your everyday work or business trends. What you are in game will reflect how and what you want in reality, better yet, implement everything with of course constant process.

One more thing, virtual games will technically help and guide you with your plans. We may not notice it but what these developers in mind is to tell you that these games will educate you further, awaken your closed mind, give more compounded ideas, expand your market, cultivate market profit, approach consumers and learn and always get the basics, whether you accept or ignore these facts. For me, two words indeed, PLAY AND PLAN is what Playdom has to offer.

Be aware that playing these virtual games will occupy your time and i tell you, its addicting. So you have to control yourself for this.

TOP SEARCH ENGINES

sure not everyone of us known to all search engines available in the internet. To top it all, students having difficult times searching for topics related to their subjects and term papers. During my college days, since my course is not as popular like nursing and business management degree, add to the dilemma the never ending updates of Philippine Tariff and Customs Laws, are rare articles to find in the internet.

Anyway, so i gathered all my powers and share search engines i know. This is not just for students but also to business sectors who makes most of their profit relating to keywords and search to have most visitors, not just that but also gathering data for presentations and the like.

Formerly known as Live Search, Windows Live Search and MSN search. Bing has made other informations available that Google can't satisfy you. Or if you can't find anything similar to your project, give yourself a break and try Bing as your secondary to Google, better yet, make it first. I find Bing more interesting in giving results and trust me with this, bing has more accuracy in terms of MAPS compare to Google.

pronounced COOL; claiming to be the World's largest search engine, that is 3 times and 10 times Google and Microsoft indexing pages, respectively.

i love how Cuil developed their site. The website itself is easy to navigate and changed the way Search Engine deliver results. Professional looking, with lots of informations aside from results and an almost Advertisement free -- thats what i like about!

Cuil also offers CPEDIA where you can browse tons of suggested results.

Yes you read it right. Lycos now turned into search engine. From an entertainment internet portal to array of indexed sites.

They still offer free website though.

I no longer included Google and Yahoo because they are already known to everyone. Hence the redundant results from Google and Yahoo is immaterial to finding more results.

Queen Seon Dok, the final episode.

My brother influenced me to watch this Korean TV series. When i heard from him that this series is similar to Jumong, i shrugged it off. Basically, i hate bloody battles and see people die. I watched it anyway, and the next thing i know, i was sucking the story big time.

Queen Seon Doek is real in the history of Korea. It was interesting considering she was a Queen and it's been questioned by people who wanted to get the her dethrone by her lover.

I really prefer Queen Seon Doek if you want to know more about the South Korean history.

Anyway, also my favorite part of this TV Series is the final stage. Please turn on the CC for english subtitles.

This action drama series from South Korea is a no lame story. The costumes has a Game of Thrones feel, but this drama came first before GOT.

My Samsung N150 full review

The moment i saw Samsung N150 (America, Canada and other Asian countries), and Samsung N210 in some parts of the Philippines, but stated in Samsung Philippines its Samsung N150.

To explain how and why is there a difference between names it’s because the markings for certain regions. So if you bought your gadget in America and you’re living in Asia, you might have a hard time looking for some accessories. But i will not discuss it here.

Today, I am going to review my Samsung N150/N210 with my utmost simple language. I fell inlove with it right away. First is the color, it is White. Second, it’s a notebook. Third is the processor. Fourth is the 5-8hours battery life.

Samsung N150 is a SCRATCH and MAINTENANCE FREE. Promise. The notebook itself is a matte type  laptop so i wouldn't have to worry from scratches and high maintenance like edge protectors. It is easy to clean if you accidentally stained the surface. I hate glossy laptops because it easily slide from any smooth cloth protectors or casing and people will sometimes misunderstood you for that. Plus the light effect, it is too reflective. I am wearing glasses and i need to protect my eyes from too much exposure to light rays.

Windows 7 and its hard drives. Since i grew up using Desktop PCs, the loading of windows is kind of slow for me. The software installed perhaps didn't amaze me after all. Microsoft Office is just a trial. The thought your windows is powered by Microsoft, it should be automatically installed, not on a trial basis. For now, I am using it but soon, I will install Microsoft Office 2010 beta (not pirated excuse me haha).

For the loading problems, I uninstalled McAfee Anti-Virus and replaced it with Comodo Anti-Virus which detected the virus installed in Games. I also installed Ccleaner to further delete cookies and unwanted or temporary internet files roaming around folders. Microsoft Essentials was a problem to me, it wasn't updating at all. I tried downloading it through FileHippo, yet i had second thoughts. It might have problems in the future so i didn’t pushed through. But, i suggest work with Microsoft Essentials if you do not have it yet. Btw, it is only working for genuine Microsoft Windows, meaning original and paid. It cost around P3,000 - P5,000 in Philippines.

I encountered problem in Media Player, it didn’t work after playing some songs. I thought of having reformatted my gadget, instead I updated my RealTek HD sound card. Check it in device manager, and it’s done.

USB Ports. The devices were participating.  But my memory card got broken after inserting it in right side usb port. The usb ports were tight and narrow, so be extra careful when inserting and pulling off your jacks. I like the tightness though.

The Keyboard is soft and flat. However, for people who are used to desktop keyboard (like me), might feel the discrepancy. There is no indication if you’re using Caps lock, unless you’re typing you’re password online. Other than that, it is fantastic. It is like embossed, so its kinda new and fun to me. Sometimes i use my Logitech Cordless keyboard if i need to distant myself from radiation.

Battery life. So if you’re wondering if Samsung had short comings in terms of battery, you can stop the wanders. The battery is long enough for a notebook. You will be working in full 8hours if you will full charge your gadget before using it. However, my notebook works in 6hours full charge. I dunno if it is the same with some Samsung N150 users, but technically, the real time battery life is 5hours and it is
absolutely fine.

Matte Screen. Yes, you read it right, the screen is matte. Meaning, you cannot trace any finger prints even if you’re working. And also, there is absolutely no light reflections. Some laptop has matte screen yet the light under roof is reflective and it sucks especially if you’re doing creative designs or plain working.

10.1 inch screen, high definition pixels, what else could you ask for? If you want gadgets for your desktop, it is available, if you want to conserve the battery, there is power saver settings, if you want a high performance level of viewing, have it change in the settings, everything is under in one notebook-laptop. Why did i say that? Because it is actually more of a laptop, not just a notebook. The only difference i guess is the size of the screen.

Desktop wallpaper is a stock unless you want to change it, you will have to through a process. Install applications here and there. I already did, but it ruined the administrator and the user guests programs and applications use. The loading time of windows went hundred years. My programs had to be run in as administrator, take note, every program you’re going to use. The desktop folder unmatched the wallpaper folder i’ll be using.

In short, just leave your desktop wallpaper that way. The tutorial is professionally applied, and technical issues will be encountered just for changing the desktop wallpaper. Again, leave it that way, unless you’re aware of what you’re doing.

The Performance.
Since computers is not new to me, i already deleted and updated the softwares according to my knowledge of PC maintenance. However, Windows 7 has its down fall and it is not well advertised to some Gamers (high definition games included) and Technology People. Technology people meaning people working in field and world of Information Technology, to speak of not just by working in Hardware but most of all Softwares.

I don't know, maybe its just me. But i would rather have my Windows XP if i could have a choice. So anyway, the loading time is working fine though its taking a min delay. What i like about this Windows 7, its you're in no left behind default programs. The beginners will way deliver reports and presentation well enough, especially for students.

FileHippo

Is FileHippo downloadable/downloaded files are SAFE?

Majority of my downloaded files are safe. But if you want to be sure, you can Scan if your file has Virus or Malware Online. Click here to know more.

Furthermore, I already read some reviews and everything is positive. Aside from its up to date versions posted, it is also safe from hoax, malwares. No honestly, i am not speaking in their behalf, but 100% i am all my downloaded programs from FileHippo are safe.

Speaking of programs, they have also the list of most downloaded files indexed in main page. It will also be a help for people who wants to add spice and latest softwares out in the market, for free.

Yes, this is what FileHippo at best, they are free. Free from virus
 and hidden charges.

DEAR CHIIE

Question: What *else do you know more about "Softwares" (but i think he was referring to Website)

To elaborate and clarify things. I was a technical staff in our Internet and Gaming Services for almost 5 years, but before that, i started using computer since 1997. The learning process was a bit faster because the exposure became rampant, not just for myself but embracing the technology was NEW and RAW that time. I literally liked the programs and softwares, more at its peak in the time when i was gaining technical capabilities. So i guess, that answers the question.

Hardwares and System was handled by my brothers. And i was in charge of updating the softwares, programs, research for latest software buzz reviews of technical websites and tell them what it will benefit our small company.

I hope this answer your question. Thank You so much for that question.

Logitech Deluxe 660 Cordless Keyboard

I do not necessarily take down reviews for gadgets i use or used. Maybe because i don't feel the need of doing so, not because i am not getting paid to but i feel no sense in creating one. But today, i certainly changed my mind.

I am not a fan of wireless. Wireless hubs and routers, wireless internet connections (not Wi-Fi) but "broadband", wireless windows and computer gadgets, wireless peripheral and etcetera. I do not patronize these gadgets simply because they are not 100% accurate. Seriously. Right? It is not that i am not a pro-technology but, these wireless concepts doesn't help you at all. Wireless hubs and routers do not 100% intertwine the flow of LAN, Wireless broadband are honestly crap specially if you are living in Philippines.

Today, i changed my mind. Why? a gadget changed my mind.

Logitech Deluxe 660 Cordless Desktop did. I am convinced to use this because its hassle free. I work most of the time facing the desktop and laptop.the tangled cords is an addition to stress, thus, it helps to look neat in your work area. It functions well, and i can work 10 inches away from the device. I appreciate the function keys for media and web applications, its like 3-in-one keyboard. the mouse is like a no tool in the hand, so light you could almost feel nothing but fingers tapping your laptop mouse pad.
The best thing about Logitech Deluxe 660 Cordless Desktop aside from describe review above, its cheap!

Dear Chiie

I received a private message in facebook from Ronald,  and his question was:

Why do you not blog in Filipino or Tagalog?

I am proud to be a filipino and no doubt about that. Perhaps the only reason why I can't blog in complete straight tagalog is because i don't have much Filipino visitors. Some of my visitors are from America, Canada and Asian countries. I used to blog in tagalog but it only caters to my rantings before, and for me i was immature then.

Thank you for your message. I appreciate it.

CHIIE IS MOVING TO A NEW HOME

After 11 years since i pinned it in my head and in my black papered journal, one of my personal goal is to have a website to call my own. I believe and yes, I have free domain name unfortunate enough that is not recognizable in Google and in any search engines, but directed to my blogger's blog link.

I know my site is just a garbage compared to other famous bloggers in blogosphere. Thing is, i no longer blog hop to get visitors beginning 2007 and on this day onwards. When my former blog was hit of malware i already lost track of my former blog friends. Furthermore, I also do not post and comment in different websites just to gain popularity or get track backs of unique visitors in my blog only to my vested interest.

Chiie.tk is somehow 4million++ ahead from Cchoii.blogspot.com which is 10M++ in Alexa rankings (say what?. i don't care if i am hundred millions away from 100k rank hahaha) and it saddens me leaving my free domain, but it feels good at the same time. Moving forward and change it best thing in this world.

Am i leaving Blogger®? I am thinking that too. Maybe soon.
