FOB + insurance (4% of FOB if no insurance indicated) + Freight = Dutiable Value in $. then convert to Peso (DV $ x exchange rate) = Dutiable Value in Peso x Rate of Duty (you will classify your item in a 3 inches thick book) = Customs Duty.  hahaha. . then you have DV Peso + CUD + Misc Exp = Total Landed Cost + Ad Val Tax = Vat Base x 12% = VAT.
